Getting Started: Recipients

When a page creator adds you as a recipient, you'll receive an invitation email from SplitGive.app.

• Look for an email with the subject "You've been invited to receive donations"
• The email tells you which donation page you've been added to and your percentage split
• Click the Accept Invitation button in the email

Clicking the invitation link will take you to SplitGive.app. You'll need an account to claim your invitation.

• New to SplitGive.app? Create a free account with your name, email, and password. Use the same email address the invitation was sent to.
• Already have an account? Just sign in — the invitation will be waiting for you

Once signed in, you'll be shown the invitation details — the page name, your split percentage, and who invited you. Click Accept to confirm.

To receive your share of donations, you need to connect a Stripe account. Stripe is a secure payment platform that handles all the financial processing.

1. From your Recipient Dashboard, find the page you've been added to
2. Click Connect Stripe
3. You'll be taken to Stripe's secure website to set up or link an account
4. Follow Stripe's steps — you may need to:
   • Verify your identity (name, address, date of birth)
   • Add your bank account or debit card for payouts
   • Agree to Stripe's terms of service
5. Once complete, you'll be redirected back to SplitGive.app and your account will be shown as Connected

Once connected, you'll automatically receive your share of every donation — no action needed on your part.

• Stripe sends payouts to your bank account on its regular schedule (typically every 2 business days for US accounts)
• You can view your donation history and earnings from your Recipient Dashboard
• You'll receive an email notification for each donation you receive
